Education
I am a current bachelor of mathematics student at the University of Queensland. I graduated from Brisbane State High School with an OP 1 (ATAR 99 equivalent), and studied law and commerce at UQ and finance at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries before I began my mathematics degree. Throughout this entire period and beginning in my senior year of high school I have been working as a mathematics tutor.
Experience
I have tutored over 80 students of all ages and ability from year 4 to university level mathematics, with a particular passion for teaching year 11 and 12 Mathematical Methods (Maths B) and Specialist Mathematics (Maths C). I can give last minute assignment or exam help as well as regular sessions, and can teach single students or small groups. I can adapt my instruction to the learning style of the student, and I am able to create a comfortable, engaging environment. I am also happy to tutor some other school subjects if requested. The university courses I cover include the following: MATH1040, MATH1050, MATH1051, MATH1052, MATH1061, MATH2000, MATH2001, MATH2400, MATH2401, MATH3202, CSSE1001, CSSE2002, STAT1301, STAT2003, STAT2004 and STAT3004 (or equivalent)

Hobbies
If I'm not studying or tutoring, I might be out sailing! Among other endeavors, I've sailed across most of the pacific ocean, and sometimes skipper yachts at the Whitsundays. I've also worked as a ski instructor in Japan, and am into AFL, Rugby, Tennis, Soccer and Swimming. My aspiration is to work in developing new technologies for patenting.
